Sounds like an amazing read – so proud of you Taryn 🙂 I would like to win it so that I can share it with the underprivileged children I teach.

  2. I have loved reading of your joys and triumphs in this venture…. now I’d love to read the reason behind them with my family. So proud of you, and knowing how much heart and soul goes into this kind of work, when you already have a fantastic full-time job(s) as mom, wife and homeschooling mentor to 4! Well done Taryn, we rejoice along with you!

  3. Looks like an awesome read! Would love to win a copy to read to my little 5 year old 😀 She’ll be starting Grade R next year and can’t wait for her to learn to read and appreciate books too.

Well done Taryn!! God bless x

  4. Congratulations Taryn! So glad for you 🙂

  5. Would love to win a copy as I can’t wait to see what happens in the story! AND its cool to own a book written by a friend!

  6. Because you’re local.. You’re a published author… and my Mom is trying to break into the industry now that she’s retired… and I want to show her a real person that has… here… in our back yard (ok… a little but further than Durbs, but it counts)… and I love kiddie adventure stories – Enid and I go WAY back.

  8. I will definitely be getting this book, even if I don’t win one! Number one reason? Hard to say. Probably just the fact that it’s about homeschooled children is what intrigues me the most, also that it’s by someone I’ve “known” via internet for a few years. But there’s also the fact that we spent four months in Muizenberg several years ago, so this is “my part” of South Africa. Can’t wait to read it!

  9. My son is almost 11 and an avid reader. We’re constantly looking for quality books for him to read. PLUS his best friend is originally from South Africa!

I’ve hit a wall with my 8 year old homeschooled son and added frustration is having to help my 5 year old daughter inbetween. I have enrolled both my two beautiful children into school starting Monday 22 April. I have failed homeschooling and i have failed both my children. I’ve hit a depression state of mind and see no way out at this stage as to put them into school.
Maybe winning a copy and reading your book will awaken some sort of light within me and I will return to my senses to keep moving forward with homeschooling. At this stage i need all the support i can get, because i feel like a huge failure not being able to cope with homeschooling.

Tarryn, I cannot wait to read this book – I have followed the project from when you first announced it and I am so excited to see your plans and hard work coming to fruition!

All the best with this book and may the story touch many lives and open many hearts too 🙂

PS – the best reason for me to win this book is so that I can enjoy the story and tell everyone I know about it too! aww heck I’ll do that anyways… lol So I guess it’s just so that I could win something and enjoy it too!

  12. My daughter (8) has a wild imagination and we travel a lot to the Western Cape. We recently spent a day at Muizenburg beach and at Franschoek. Quite delightful. it would be great to have a story about children living out an adventure while we are actually visiting the places she is reading about. I love homeschooling my two kids and hope to meet ohter homeschoolers in the Western Cape soon. Good luck with your launch, I pray it goes well.
