Book with Homeschooled Characters: A Curriculum Choice review

This week I was thrilled to read a wonderful review of Seekers of the Lost Boy over at the Curriculum Choice website.  Kendra Cooke, reviewer and homeschooling mom of two boys, used Seekers as a read-aloud book as part of their study of Africa – a component of their Sonlight Core F curriculum.  Amongst the wonderful tidbits she shared was the family’s joy at finding a book with homeschooled characters. Yay for a family to please!  Her eldest son enjoyed it so much he begged his mom:

“Read it slowly so that we can read this book forever, but read it quickly so I know what happens!  Can you do that, Mom?”

A boy after my own heart!  Those are the kind of books that I love best and how blessed I feel to know that Seekers is reaching hearts of children everywhere. Kendra, who lives in Tasmania, Australia, writes a wonderfully thorough review, picking up on the extras like the South African glossary of words and the “what was real?” section and explaining how they benefited the family.  Feedback like this is incredibly helpful for authors.  There was also great feedback for my publishers regarding the cover art when Kendra wrote:

“Upon waking up my youngest begged to know what the cover of the book was all about, “It’s teasing me to know more, tell me what it means!”
